I forgot that I had put a ripe nectarine in my handbag and threw my beautiful Tarot of Prague cards in there. I suddenly remembered about the fruit and in a panic rushed to open the bag. Too late, the nectarine "exploded" and ruined my cards. I have nectarine juice stains in the beautiful card case and several of the cards got badly damaged - wavy edges with brownish stains. I was almost in tears. I wonder if the new edition of the Tarot of Prague is printed in a better card stock, just like the Fairytale Tarot. It's so flexible and with a soft sheen. I will find out now that I get a new deck :-(
In the previous posting I was sad because Maugli and Lucky had gone to their new home. Well, guess who's back? We had to pick them up today, after the new owner complained that her adult cat would not accept the kittens and was getting too mean with them. She did not like the kittens running all over the place either, so she called and asked us to take them back. I feel happy that the poor kitties are back with us, they were so scared and ran to meet me when they heard my voice, but I feel disappointed - the stupid owner made an agreement with us to get the two kittens when they weren't even born, and then a month before we delivered the kittens she goes and gets an adult cat. Good for the cat, not responsible from the owner. En fin. Así es la vida.
